Speakers at the meeting denounced the strike, warned of mounting regional danger, and called for a united front to stop further escalation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qatar\u2019s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, told delegates that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sought to \u201cturn the Arab region into an Israeli sphere of influence,\u201d noting that the latter had recently declared that \u201ca Palestinian state will never be established.\u201d Sheikh Tamim vowed that Qatar \u201cwill take all necessary, practical and firm steps permitted under international law.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Arab League<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit said the assault on Doha \u201cexceeded every limit.\u201d He added, \u201cThe attack on civilians and negotiators is vile and cowardly, and boasting about it reflects an abyss of moral collapse.\u201d He warned that \u201csilence over crimes in Gaza has led the occupation to believe every act is possible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Iraq<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani called the strike \u201can escalation sending a negative signal for peaceful solutions,\u201d adding that \u201cwhat is happening in Gaza and the West Bank is no longer a violation of international law but an unprecedented human ordeal.\u201d He urged agreement on \u201ca comprehensive roadmap to halt fire in Gaza,\u201d and reiterated Iraq\u2019s condemnation of \u201cmilitary aggressions targeting nations and peoples.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jordan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jordan\u2019s King Abdullah II offered condolences to Qatar\u2019s leadership and people, stressing that the summit \u201cmust deliver a solution to lift the region from the Israeli threat, end the war on Gaza, and safeguard al-Quds.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Egypt<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said the assault \u201cposes a threat to Arab and Islamic national security,\u201d warning that the occupation\u2019s government \u201chas crossed every red line.\u201d He stated that \u201cits security will only be achieved through respect for international law and the sovereignty of states,\u201d and cautioned that continued Israeli attacks \u201cundermine any new peace agreements.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El-Sisi rejected \u201cany proposal that would displace Palestinians from their land,\u201d affirming that \u201cthe just and comprehensive solution is to end the occupation and establish a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East al-Quds as its capital.\u201d He also called for \u201can Arab mechanism to confront surrounding challenges\u201d and stressed \u201cno acceptance of violations against Arab states\u2019 sovereignty.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Turkey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned that \u201cthe Islamic Ummah is capable of foiling Israel\u2019s expansionist ambitions.\u201d He said Netanyahu\u2019s government \u201chas attacked Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Tunisia, and today it assaulted Qatar,\u201d accusing it of \u201cpushing the region into chaos while pursuing genocide against the Palestinian people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Erdogan said the Islamic world had \u201cthe strength and the means to thwart Israel\u2019s expansionist ambitions,\u201d warning that Tel Aviv \u201cwill not stop unless faced with a firm response.\u201d He urged economic pressure on the Israeli occupation, noting that sanctions and boycotts had \u201cproven their effectiveness.\u201d Erdogan vowed to \u201ccontinue the struggle until an independent Palestinian state is established on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital,\u201d rejecting any forced displacement of Palestinians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Palestinian Authority<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas declared that \u201cany assault on an Arab or Islamic state is an attack on our shared security,\u201d and insisted on \u201cpractical measures to prevent Israeli aggression.\u201d He stressed that \u201cIsrael\u2019s extremist government cannot be a partner for security in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tajikistan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tajik President Emomali Rahmon said the Israeli government \u201cis obstructing all efforts for peace in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the attack on Qatar as \u201ca blatant act of aggression,\u201d recalling that Gaza \u201cis suffering today, with more than 64,000 people killed through bombing and starvation.\u201d He warned that \u201cthere is no Arab or Islamic country outside Israel\u2019s targeting,\u201d and urged unity against \u201cthis arrogant entity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Djibouti<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Djibouti\u2019s President Ismail Omar Guelleh called the strike \u201can attack on every Arab and Muslim, a flagrant challenge to international law.\u201d He voiced solidarity with Doha and pressed for \u201creal action beyond statements of condemnation, toward decisive deterrence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lebanon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said the strike aimed to \u201cassassinate mediation and negotiations,\u201d stressing that \u201cafter the attack on Doha, the picture is clear and the response must be equally clear.\u201d He urged a unified stance at upcoming UN meetings in New York, apologizing for \u201crepeating words of condemnation that frustrate Arab and Islamic peoples.\u201d Aoun added that Lebanon remained \u201cready for peace if Israel truly wants it, on the basis of the Arab Peace Initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The summit closed its session by recalling that the Israeli raid on Doha targeted a senior Hamas negotiating delegation. Hamas said in a same-day statement that the Israeli occupation had \u201cfailed in its attempt to assassinate the delegation,\u201d underscoring the need for \u201ccollective measures to safeguard mediation efforts and regional stability.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Arab, Islamic countries meet to discuss strike<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Arab and Islamic foreign ministers on Sunday declared that Qatar\u2019s security is \u201can integral part of Arab and Islamic national security,\u201d during a closed-door meeting in Doha ahead of an extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit set for Monday to address the Israeli assault on Qatar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to participants, the ministers stressed that the Israeli strike on Doha represented a breach of international law and a dangerous escalation threatening Arab, regional, and international stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qatar\u2019s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Majed al-Ansari, said the summit reflects broad Arab and Islamic solidarity with Doha and underscores the firm rejection of what he described as state terrorism practiced by the Israeli regime.
