The conference was presided over by the leader of the Shia community of Pakistan, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi. Scholars from various schools of thought participated, including Allama Syed Iftikhar Hussain Naqvi and the central vice president, Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi.
