For its part, the Israeli police said they had “neutralized” two people who carried out the shooting at the Ramot junction.

Israeli media said large forces rushed to the scene, and later Israeli Army Radio reported that a security cordon was imposed, with all entrances and exits of Jerusalem closed.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority said police were examining a suspicious object found at the scene of the shooting.

Meanwhile, Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir arrived at the site of the attack.

As for the repercussions of the incident, Israel Hayom reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed judges that he would not attend his scheduled court hearing today due to the security developments.

Details of the attack
According to Israeli Army Radio, most of the dead and wounded in the Jerusalem shooting were targeted at the bus station.

The same source said police suspect the attackers came from the West Bank.

According to Israel’s Channel 12, the perpetrators came from a village near Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.
