Commenting on the defense agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the Leader of the Shia Nation of Pakistan, Ayatollah Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, said that the effects of the defense agreement must be seen in the sustainable development of both countries, in strengthening their defense, and in fostering the unity of the Muslim Ummah — especially in ending the atrocities being committed against the oppressed Palestinians.
He emphasized that the foremost issues for both countries are Palestine and Kashmir, as the Kashmir issue in South Asia and the Palestine issue in the Middle East are among the most critical matters of the Muslim Ummah.
He added that the hopes of the oppressed people of Gaza are fading in the face of Israeli oppression, and under such circumstances, these two of the strongest Islamic states must play a practical and effective role.
