Islamabad / Rawalpindi, September 2025:
The Leader of the Shia Nation of Pakistan, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, said that from the very beginning, the people have been continuously striving for the attainment and protection of fundamental rights—rights that the state guaranteed at the time of the creation of Pakistan and which are still enshrined in the Constitution of Pakistan.
On 28 September 1999, the distinguished lawyer, political and social personality, and Secretary General Khurshid Anwar Advocate of Dera Ismail Khan, along with his daughter, drank from the cup of martyrdom, whose 26th anniversary is being commemorated. On 30 September 1988, mourners sacrificed their lives, and it was their blood-stained sacrifice that further intensified this struggle. After that, a long series of sacrifices by dozens of martyrs continued on this land.
Allama Sajid Naqvi further stated that it is undeniable that efforts and struggles have been made in different spheres of the country, including the founding of forums for unity and solidarity, which despite challenges, are still ongoing. The great sacrifices of those martyrs who gave their lives while defending and protecting fundamental rights can never go in vain.
He said that at present, the country is passing through extremely grave and critical circumstances; politically and economically, the people are suffering painful conditions. As responsible and patriotic citizens of this country, we are deeply concerned about this situation and demand that realizing the seriousness of the matter, the nation should be saved from this whirlpool and quagmire.
The Leader of the Shia Nation of Pakistan expressed heartfelt sympathy with the families of Shaheed Khurshid Anwar Advocate and the martyrs of Dera Ismail Khan, and also offered special prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs.
