The Leader of the Shia Nation of Pakistan, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, has stated that the recent announcement by former U.S. President Donald Trump is a continuation of the infamous Balfour Declaration, adding that colonial powers planted a bloody seed which imperialism has since nurtured into a tree of oppression and terrorism.
He said that even after a century, the oppressed Palestinian people continue their struggle for their basic human and legal rights, and now the blood of Gaza’s martyrs is bearing fruit, as the entire world’s attention is drawn toward the Palestinian issue.
According to him, ordinary people across the globe are condemning Israel’s crimes and expressing solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians in their own ways.
Allama Naqvi emphasized clearly and decisively that the future of Palestine will be decided only by the Palestinians themselves through their representative organizations and movements, asserting that no historical or legitimate state exists in the Middle East except the State of Palestine.
He added: “Occupiers are never the sons of the soil — the true heirs of the land are only the Palestinians.”
In his message marking two years since the Gaza war, Allama Naqvi said that during these two years, the oppressive, occupying, and terrorist state of Israel has unleashed unprecedented brutality upon the people of Palestine, especially in Gaza, describing these acts as among the worst examples of oppression in modern history.
However, he stressed that the blood and sacrifices of the oppressed are not in vain — they are bearing witness across the world through massive protests and global unity, where people of all races, religions, and creeds have joined the cause of justice, much like the Freedom Flotilla movement.
He further stated that the land of Palestine has suffered for more than a century under conspiracies, false declarations, and deceptive agreements, beginning with the Balfour Declaration of 1917, issued by Arthur James Balfour, the former British Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary.
That conspiracy, he said, culminated in the establishment of the illegal Zionist entity on May 14, 1948, and continued through various so-called peace accords, including the Abraham Accords, leading up to Trump’s declaration — a clear continuation of Balfour’s betrayal.
Concluding his statement, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi paid tribute to the martyrs of Palestine who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of their homeland and holy sites, and expressed solidarity with the displaced and the victims of war.
He reaffirmed that the Shia Nation of Pakistan will continue to extend moral, political, and diplomatic support to the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle for freedom and fundamental rights.
