Lady of Paradise (AS) Conference: Allama Sajid Naqvi Emphasizes Muslim Unity and the Promotion of Islamic Civilization

At the Lady of Paradise (AS) Conference held at Jamia Naeemia under the auspices of Jamaat Ahl-e-Haram Pakistan, the Head of the Islamic Movement in Pakistan and Leader of the Shia community, Ayatollah Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, delivered an important and comprehensive address.

Ayatollah Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi stated that the manner in which the greatness of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (AS) was highlighted during the gathering, along with the expressions of love and devotion, strengthened faith and reinforced unity among the Muslim Ummah. He stressed that in the current circumstances the Ummah is in dire need of unity, and that such gatherings play an effective role in awakening this collective consciousness.

He added that it is essential to carry forward, with the same spirit of unity, the mission, character, and example of Lady Fatima (AS) in practical terms. He warned that there are ongoing efforts to weaken Islamic civilization and impose un-Islamic values on society, and that these challenges can only be confronted by drawing guidance from the character and teachings of Lady Fatima (AS).

The Leader of the Shia community in Pakistan expressed regret over the absence of an effective state-level system for educating and nurturing the younger generation along Islamic lines, at a time when attempts to corrupt the minds of youth have intensified. He emphasized the crucial role of religious seminaries and described such religious and intellectual gatherings as highly commendable, while also calling for similar efforts at the state level.

He further urged all Islamic sects to remain united, respect each other’s sacred symbols, and address their differences in a scholarly and civilized manner, noting that this is the fundamental charter of the Islamic Unity Council. He clarified that Sunni–Shia sectarianism has never existed at the grassroots level in Pakistan, and although certain elements have attempted to spread hatred, the nation has consistently thwarted such conspiracies.
