We Seek the Establishment of a Just System and the Attainment of Rights in the Country — Allama Sajid Naqvi

Rawalpindi / Islamabad — January 27, 2026

The Leader of the Shia in Pakistan, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, delivered a telephonic address to the grand gathering at the “Conference in Memory of the Martyrs of Sehwan and the Martyrs of Islam.” He prayed for the elevation of the ranks of all organizational and non-organizational martyrs and appreciated the Shia Ulema Council Pakistan (Sindh) for organizing the annual event. He said that this gathering would generate renewed spirit, create momentum among members, and make the organization more active.

He stated that the Qur’anic verse he mentioned at the beginning of his address highlights their objectives, as all prophets and messengers (peace be upon them) were sent to establish justice and fairness. This is one of the key goals of their organization: they seek a just system and the attainment of rights in the country, along with the establishment of justice, merit, and fairness. To achieve this, the organization must be further strengthened, and voices must continue to be raised through sustained struggle. He emphasized that under current circumstances, it is essential to make the organization stronger and more active, build internal connections, foster unity and harmony, and avoid encouraging divisions.

He said that the present era is marked by the absence of a just system, and it is their responsibility to struggle for its establishment. The Holy Qur’an guides toward this mission, and it was also the mission of the prophets and their successors. Therefore, raising one’s voice for justice is essential.

Allama Sajid Naqvi further said that they must also play a role regarding international challenges. They are observing the global situation, and imperialism’s objective is to strengthen Israel through power and coercion while eliminating Palestine, which is unacceptable. He also mentioned various issues within Pakistan, including the matter of pilgrims and the mourning of Sayyid al-Shuhada (Imam Hussain), stating that these are fundamental rights from which they cannot retreat even an inch.

He added that their actions continue according to the demands of the situation. Greater focus must be placed on unity and harmony, as they are a great source of strength. Their efforts will remain civilized, peaceful, and within the framework of the law. In conclusion, he encouraged all central and provincial leaders and members, praying that the gathering be effective and fruitful, and that their efforts be blessed with success and greater unity.
