The Holy Prophet ﷺ and His Ahl al-Bayt’s Life and Teachings Are a Beacon for the Muslim Ummah – Leader of the Shia Nation, Pakistan
Islamabad/Rawalpindi, September 10, 2025 – The Leader of the Shia Nation of Pakistan, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, on the blessed birth anniversary of the Seal of Prophets, the Beloved of Allah, the Holy Prophet ﷺ, and the Sixth Imam, Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq (A.S.), as well as on the conclusion of Unity Week, extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Ummah.
In his message, he stated that according to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an, this Ummah is one single community, and the blessed personality of the Prophet ﷺ is the central source of unity, brotherhood, and solidarity. His pure life, character, and conduct demand from us that—since we firmly believe in One God, One Messenger, One Qur’an, and One Ka‘bah—we should resolve secondary differences with civility, respect, and through scholarly dialogue.
He emphasized that this very stance has been endorsed by our religious elders, great scholars, and esteemed Maraji‘, who have clearly declared that insulting the sanctities of any sect or school of thought is strictly prohibited.
Allama Sajid Naqvi further stated that among the Prophet’s progeny, Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq (A.S.) embodied his noble forefather’s character and guided the Muslim Ummah in all fields of knowledge, marking a shining chapter in Islamic history. Therefore, in order to practically realize the Qur’anic concept of a unified Ummah, we must draw lessons from the Qur’an, the Seerah of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, and the life of Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq (A.S.). These teachings urge us to promote sectarian harmony, act upon our common values, strengthen mutual unity, play our role in defeating conspiracies against the Islamic world, and—guided by the Prophet’s teachings—establish a just system in line with modern requirements.
