The Leader of the Shia community in Pakistan, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, extended heartfelt congratulations to all humanity, especially the Christian community, on the occasion of the birth of Prophet Jesus (AS) and Christmas. He emphasized that the Christian community has played a vital and commendable role in the creation, development, and prosperity of Pakistan—one that can neither be forgotten nor overlooked. He further stressed that the entire nation must unite in peaceful struggle in line with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to safeguard Pakistan’s future.
These views were expressed in his congratulatory message issued on December 25, marking both Christmas and the birth anniversary of the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Allama Sajid Naqvi stated that the joy of the birth of Prophet Jesus (AS) should be celebrated by every human being, as he came with a universal message of peace and human welfare—a message that reached its completion and perfection through the final Prophet, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
He added that shaping one’s life according to the teachings of Prophet Jesus (AS), and seeking guidance from his character and conduct, is also a fundamental requirement of faith, as these teachings embody compassion, justice, and peace. Extending his greetings once again to humanity, particularly to the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas, he reiterated that their contribution to nation-building and national prosperity has always been significant and indispensable.
In his message on the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Allama Sajid Naqvi stated that the free and sovereign state whose establishment was realized through the tireless struggle of the Founder of Pakistan now requires both the state and every individual citizen to play a constructive and positive role in ensuring its security and survival. He expressed deep regret over the persistent issues of class disparity, inequality, and the absence of justice, attributing these problems to a lack of seriousness on the part of rulers and their failure to fulfill their official responsibilities effectively.
He concluded by emphasizing that to make Pakistan internally strong, stable, and prosperous, it is essential to fully implement the thoughts and teachings of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and to establish a just and transparent system that guarantees fairness, accountability, and social justice.
