Islamabad:
The Leader of the Shia community in Pakistan, Ayatollah Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, made a special appearance at the central ceremony held to mark the 50th anniversary (Golden Jubilee) of Jamia Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in Islamabad. On this occasion, he paid rich tribute to the institution’s scholarly, intellectual, and religious services, describing the academic legacy of its founder, the eminent scholar Sheikh Mohsin Ali Najafi (may Allah have mercy on him), as a great asset for the Shia community.

The Golden Jubilee ceremony was attended by a large number of religious scholars, teachers, graduates, and students from across the country. The Leader of the Shia community also met with scholars and students, appreciating their academic efforts and dedication.

Addressing the gathering, Ayatollah Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi stated that for the past five decades, Jamia Ahl al-Bayt (AS) has been playing a vital role in providing religious education, promoting the jurisprudence of Ahl al-Bayt (AS), and teaching Qur’anic sciences while harmonizing traditional Islamic learning with contemporary needs. He noted that the university has produced scholars who are actively fulfilling their responsibility of intellectual guidance within society. He further added that the sincerity, insight, and scholarly vision with which Sheikh Mohsin Ali Najafi (RA) laid the foundation of this institution are still clearly reflected in its educational system today.

The Leader of the Shia community emphasized that the true responsibility of religious institutions is not limited to formal education alone, but also includes providing intellectual, moral, and social guidance to the community, a responsibility that Jamia Ahl al-Bayt (AS) is fulfilling commendably.

The ceremony was also attended by Ayatollah Hafiz Riaz Hussain Najafi, Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi, Allama Sheikh Ishaq Najafi, Allama Sheikh Anwar Najafi Anis al-Hussain, Allama Sheikh Shifa Najafi, along with a large number of graduates of Jamia Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
