Islamabad – March 1, 2026
He expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei, along with several prominent personalities and members of his family. He announced forty days of nationwide mourning and called for peaceful nationwide protests on Friday, March 6, against Zionist and imperialist aggression.
In his condolence message, he described the martyred leader as wise, visionary, scholarly, spiritually refined, and devoted in worship. He emphasized that his services were not only for the Muslim Ummah but for humanity at large. He highlighted his firm and clear stance against joining the nuclear arms race despite possessing nuclear technology.
He stated that the late leader consistently raised a strong voice for the oppressed worldwide, exposing the agendas and crimes of Zionism and global imperialism. Whether in occupied Palestine, occupied Kashmir, among the oppressed Rohingya, or victims of injustice in Africa and other regions, Syed Ali Khamenei remained a source of hope and refuge for the oppressed.
He noted that his fatwas promoting Muslim unity and prohibiting insult to sacred figures had deep and far-reaching positive effects. Until his last moments, he remained deeply concerned about Gaza and actively supportive of the Palestinian people. He stated that the martyred leader was not only a martyr of Iran but a martyr of the Muslim Ummah and of Palestine, and that silencing his powerful voice for the oppressed was the true objective of Zionism and imperialism.
He also announced forty days of Qur’an recitation gatherings and memorial assemblies across the country.
He concluded by stating that it has now become evident to the world that expecting peace from Zionism and imperialism is futile, as they respect neither international laws nor moral principles. He affirmed that these great martyrdoms will strengthen the Islamic Revolution further and that the end of oppression and oppressors is near.
