A memorial and tribute gathering was held at Al-Kawthar University, Islamabad, in honor of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the martyred Grand Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei, and his loyal companions who attained martyrdom as a result of the unjust and cowardly attacks carried out by the United States and the usurping Zionist regime.
The gathering was attended by the Leader of Shia Muslims in Pakistan, Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, along with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam; Chairman of Imam Khomeini Trust and Member of the Council of Islamic Ideology, Allama Syed Iftikhar Hussain Naqvi; Vice President of Shia Ulema Council Pakistan, Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi; Deputy Chairman of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan, Allama Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi; as well as a large number of distinguished scholars and religious students.
Addressing the gathering, Allama Sheikh Shifa Najafi stated that the martyred leader embraced martyrdom in defense of Gaza and the Palestinian Muslims. He emphasized that the remembrance of Karbala continues to inspire the Muslim Ummah with patience and steadfastness, renewing the resolve to stand with truth and justice against oppression and arrogance.
Participants paid tribute to the services and sacrifices of the martyrs, and Qur’an recitation was offered for the elevation of their ranks. At the conclusion of the gathering, the Leader of Shia Muslims in Pakistan offered a special prayer, asking Almighty Allah to accept the martyrs, protect the Muslim Ummah, and keep it steadfast upon the path of truth.
