Qom, Iran:
The Qom office of the Leader of the Shia community in Pakistan organized a seminar titled “Reviver of the Islamic Awakening and Standard-Bearer of the Resistance.” The event featured a keynote address by Ayatollah Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, Leader of the Shia community in Pakistan and Representative of the Supreme Leader (Wali al-Faqih).
In his address, Ayatollah Naqvi stated that the pure blood of the martyred leader (may Allah have mercy on him) further illuminated the greatness of the Islamic Revolution and strengthened its message. He noted that condolences expressed by representatives of various religions and schools of thought reflected the widespread respect for the martyred leader and the deep sorrow felt by all fair-minded people over his unjust martyrdom.
Addressing students, he emphasized their responsibility to develop their intellectual and academic abilities, saying that future leadership of the Shia community would emerge from among them. He also urged them to cultivate discipline and organization in their affairs, stressing that success is achieved through structured and organized efforts.
Referring to what he described as conspiracies targeting the Shia community in Pakistan, Ayatollah Naqvi said that a controversial bill failed to obtain legal status despite broad political backing because of the community’s effective and sustained struggle against it.
He further stated that the martyred leader’s vision—centered on Muslim unity, solidarity, and respect for the sacred beliefs of all Islamic schools of thought—has had a profoundly positive impact in Pakistan.
Speaking about the difficulties faced by pilgrims, Ayatollah Naqvi said that continuous efforts are being made to address their concerns and called on the relevant authorities to fulfill their responsibilities. He stressed that Pakistan is deeply valued and that the situation in Balochistan should not be used as a pretext to obstruct pilgrimage-related matters. He added that if a public movement regarding pilgrims’ rights becomes necessary, its consequences are well understood, urging the responsible authorities to resolve the issue with seriousness and urgency.
