On the Second Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah: Ayatollah Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi: Martyr Hassan Nasrallah Is a Martyr of Al-Quds

Rawalpindi/Islamabad – September 27, 2026

Ayatollah Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, Leader of the Shia Muslims in Pakistan, affirmed that the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is a martyr of Al-Quds, noting that he devoted his entire life to the liberation of Al-Quds and support for the oppressed Palestinian people. He said that standing against the oppressor and supporting the oppressed represent the essence of resistance and steadfastness, of which Martyr Hassan Nasrallah was a prominent leader.

He made these remarks in a message marking the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. Describing the former Secretary-General, prominent and practicing Islamic scholar, and Mujahid for Islam as a Martyr of Al-Quds, Ayatollah Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi said that his martyrdom was undoubtedly an irreparable loss; however, the blood of the martyr will keep the spirit of resistance alive.

He added that the martyr devoted every moment of his life to the elevation of Islam, the defense of the oppressed, and the struggle against injustice and hegemony. The words of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), “Be an enemy to the oppressor and a supporter of the oppressed,” provide clear guidance: standing against oppression and supporting the oppressed is a responsibility shared by all.

Ayatollah Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi stressed that resistance and steadfastness are not merely actions, but also a worldview, an intellectual framework and a conviction that do not change with circumstances. While the methods may change according to the requirements of different circumstances, their foundation remains constant. Resistance adopts strategies according to the demands of the situation while maintaining steadfastness in its objectives and principles.

He explained that the path of Martyr of Resistance Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is a path of Islamic and religious honor, rooted in a strong conviction. It is a path on which a person may ultimately sacrifice his life for God, but does not bow before the hegemony, imperialism and Zionism of the age. He added that today, the Muslim world, as well as humanity as a whole, is facing the aggression and genocidal practices of hegemony, imperialism and Zionism.

He further stated that whether it is Al-Quds or the Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah, their sanctity must be respected by all humanity, particularly the Muslim world. The symbols and sanctities of Islam transcend all forms of political, religious and sectarian division. He called upon the Muslim Ummah to hold firmly to the bond of unity and solidarity to which the universal message of the Holy Qur’an guides humanity, emphasizing that this is the path to success.
