Ayatollah Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, Leader of the Shia Muslims in Pakistan, said that the martyrdom of Khursheed Anwar Advocate, a distinguished son of Dera Ismail Khan, prominent lawyer, and political and social figure, who was martyred alongside his daughter on September 28, 1999, was a great tragedy. He said that the unjust bloodshed of such a moderate, sincere and patriotic leader remains a debt upon those in positions of power, adding that the history of the Shia community is marked by sacrifices.
Ayatollah Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi paid tribute to the national and community services rendered by Martyr Khursheed Anwar Advocate and offered special prayers for his forgiveness and mercy. He said that the need for unity and solidarity among the Muslims of Pakistan has never been greater than it is today, making it essential to take meaningful steps to preserve mutual unity and internal cohesion.
