Leader of the Shia Muslims in Pakistan, Ayatollah Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, said in his message on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet ﷺ that the noble Seerah of the Holy Prophet ﷺ is a model and source of guidance for the Muslim Ummah and all of humanity.
He emphasized that the celebration of the birth anniversary of the Seal of the Prophets ﷺ should be accompanied by adherence to his noble Seerah and drawing guidance from his teachings in order to implement Quranic teachings and practically embody Islam in society.
Ayatollah Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi explained that the noble life, Seerah and character of the Holy Prophet ﷺ require us, in light of his teachings, to promote unity and solidarity and work to address shortcomings within the system in a manner that contributes to building a welfare state.
He added that since we all believe in one God, one Messenger ﷺ, one Quran and one Kaaba, along with many other commonalities, differences of a secondary nature should be addressed through scholarly discourse, civilized conduct and mutual respect, while avoiding any insult to the sacred beliefs and personalities of all schools of thought.
The Leader of the Shia Muslims in Pakistan called upon the people and workers to work toward creating unity and solidarity among all schools of thought and intellectual traditions, promote sectarian harmony, and practically demonstrate the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
He stressed the need to make it clear that sectarian elements cannot, under any circumstances, undermine the unity and solidarity of Muslims.
